Strange error after flip

Has anyone ever seen this?
I updated to the latest stable build (Linux) and now right after a meridian flip, the focuser fails to autofocus claiming that the camera is in use. But it’s not. I have never seen this behavior before. I have my imaging options set to focus after a flip. I’ve gone this for years. No issue. But now I the focuser fails to autofocus after the flip. It will autofocus fine on its own before the flip, after I can ask it to autofocus after, but it won’t if I use the option to focus after the flip on its own. I don’t understand why it thinks the camera is in use. It only used it to realign to the target as usual, but that completes successfully.

Hi Peter,

I’ve not seen this specific issue but it sounds like something (e.g. Align) is still using the camera either because Focus has been activated too soon (whilst Align is still running) or hasn’t closed down properly so Focus still things the camera is being used by something else. Is it repeatable and do you have a log?

Regards,
John.

That was my thinking too. I only tested it twice, and both times it happened. I will turn on logging tonight as I get closer to the meridian.

Just curious, why not leave logging on all the time? I know I’ve heard some say not to, but I always leave logging on for all Ekos modules and notice no issues. I suppose you might have to clean up the space after a while if you’re short on storage space.
